Trying to Catch Up

So its been a while since my last post. My life has been super busy the last couple weeks and I just couldn't find the time to sit down and blog. So this is my attempt to try and catch up on the events of the past couple weeks.
Last Monday, I found out that I'm going to have another little nephew. My SIL is pregnant and is due in August. She has one precious, precious little boy now. And this will make #2. We are so excited and can't wait to meet "Tanner".
Anthony was in his first Bible Drill Competition last week and we are so very proud of him...he is an Association Winner and will be competiting in the State/Regional Comepetition next week. Its amazing to watch him and see what he's learned these last few months of practicing. Greg and I are so thrilled that he has taken an interest and that he's starting out so early in age memorizing God's word.
This past Saturday, I took the kids to Cateechee (the local Golf course) to have their Easter pics made by a good friend of mine. They should be in this weekend and I can't wait. I'll post one of the pics that I took with my camera. I may be a little partial since they are mine...but aren't they just adorable???
The kids are on Spring Break this week and have been enjoying some time with their Nana. However, Kerri's spring break didn't start off so well. She had to go to the doctor again on Monday for another ingrown toenail. About 5 months ago, she had a really bad one and they had to remove her toenail. Well now that has grown back and it was ingrown again. Bless her heart, they had to completely remove it again and this time they had to kill the nailbed so it wouldn't grow back. The doctor said that she would continue to have problems if we didn't do this. I hated to do it, partly b/c of vainity...I don't want her to not have a toenail and to be made fun of by other kids......but I definitely didn't want her going through the pain anymore either. She was so funny and cute and said "its okay mama, we can put a fake one on there and nobody will ever know"! She's just precious. I thank God every single day for bringing these precious precious gifts into my life.
Well that was a brief catch up just highlighting some of the major events of the past couple weeks.
Happy Easter!

Weekend Recap

So we had a pretty uneventful weekend at the Vaughn household....which is totally fine with me..those are actually the best sometimes! The weather was beautiful. Friday night my hubby grilled some hot dogs and the kids practiced soccer in the front yard. It was peaceful and relaxing. Saturday we headed to Anderson to get some Easter shoes for the kids. It was so fun to do this as a family.....and ya'll I've already created a shoe-aholic with Kerri. I told her to pick out a pair she likes while I helped Anthony try his own and when I came back to her.....she had picked out 7 pairs and said "Mama, I can't decide...I want them all!" Too funny...Greg says it didn't take her long to take after me on that:) After shopping, we headed to a Japanese restaurant and had a wonderful meal. Sorry I don't have any pictures...I didn't even bring my camera with me. I'm new to this blogging thing....so I've gotta learn to always have it with me :) And yesterday was Church, our usualy Sunday afternoon lunch, a nice walk with Dutchess, washed the cars and back to Church. And now its Monday all over again..............

Hoover "The Menance"

So a couple months ago my husband decided he wanted a dog. An outside dog of course, as Dutchess (seen above) is the only dog allowed in our house (she actually rules our house). So we adopt a dog, Hoover from the Human Society (which is a whole story in itself). Anway, he's a shepard mix and still in the puppy stages. Well I come home from work earlier this week to see cardboard, plastic wrapping, etc. spread everywhere in the yard. I had no clue what it was......but oh, I soon found out. I had placed an order for some new jewelry at SamMoon.com and the package was delivered by UPS and left on my front doorsteps. Hoover must've wanted some new jewelry too b/c the entire contents of the package (box included) were everywhere in our yard. So I've spent the last 3 afternoons searching our yard for missing jewelry. Only 2 pieces are still "lost"....wish me luck!!

First timer

So, I finally decided to join the blogging world. I was introduced to Kelly's Korner blog a couple months ago and have been addicted since. I'm not a writer by any means, but I look forward to sharing stories, etc. and I look forward to making new blogger friends.
